• Sault Area Public Schools will be charged $33.00 per hour per driver plus $2.00 per mile.
• Schools and organizations within the Sault Area Public Schools area will be charged $43.00 per hour per driver plus $3.00 per mile.
• All other groups will be charged $65.00 per hour per driver plus $3.00 per mile.
• Overnight trips will have special circumstances for charges and you will need to contact the transportation department for price information.

The driver is paid for the entire time s/he is on the field trip, as well as up to 30 minutes prior to prepare the bus before leaving for the trip. The driver is also paid up to 30 minutes after the trip to fuel and clean the bus. There is a two hour minimum charge for each field trip, even if you are just being transported a short distance. Mileage is calculated from the time the bus departs from the transportation garage until it returns to the garage.
