Julie Henderson

I come from a family of many teachers. My grandmother was a teacher here in the Sault. My father was a music teacher for many years in Bark River, and my mother taught music in Escanaba. I also have 3 sisters who are teachers. My son Michael works for Apple and teaches classes for people learning to use their new technology. My daughter Erin graduated from Sault Area Schools in 2009. She is working here in the Sault area as she ponders the next phase of her life!

I started my teaching career in the Resource Room at McKinley Elementary. I stayed there for 6 years, and then enjoyed 8 years as a Special Education teacher at Lincoln Elementary. Our classroom moved to the Middle School in 2012, and we had a VERY successful year! I moved to the High School in 2013. This year, we are looking forward to another great year!
