The Law Enforcement class is taught by Mr. Herb Henderson. Mr. Henderson is retired from the City of Sault Ste. Marie Police Department as a Patrol Sergeant. Mr. Henderson was a Departmental Instructor in Defensive Tactics, Firearms, and 800 Mhz Radio Operations. He also served as the Departmental Evidence Technician and Salvage Inspector. Mr. Henderson is still a state and nationally certified instructor in many areas such as Basic Life Support, Defensive Tactics, Domestic Violence Response, Firearms, Local Correctional Officer Training, and Use of Force. Mr. Henderson holds a Master’s in Public Administration and Criminal Justice from Northern Michigan University, with a graduate certificate in homeland security. He is working toward his Ph.D.
