Physiology is the study of the form and function of the human body. Students use reference materials, models, skeletons, films and lecture to learn and practice the concepts.
· Assignments involve creating models, experimentation, viewing films, writing reports and descriptions, discussion, student presentations, and the dissection of a preserved cat.
· Tests include short answer, anatomical identification, essay, and coordinate the individual structures and processes studied. Extensive memorization of anatomical structures is required.
Prerequisites are successful completion of Biology and Chemistry. A grade of at least "B" in both is recommended. The level of understanding and performance expected in physiology strongly relies on the material presented in these prerequisites.
