• I was born and raised downstate in Haslett, MI, a small suburb outside of Lansing. I grew up playing many sports, including basketball, softball, soccer, cross country, and track. I stuck with basketball and ended up playing all four years in college at Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, MI. It was there that I majored in Mathematics and studied to get my teaching certificate. I did my student teaching in the fall of 2015 and through the end of the school year, I substitute taught in many different classrooms until I found my new home in the Soo.

In my down time, I like to stay active, whether it's playing basketball, finding a good hiking spot, or just traveling around Michigan. I come from a family of 5 girls, where I am the second oldest. My older sister is also a teacher down in Memphis, TN. My favorite color is purple, my favorite food is anything BBQ, my favorite college sports team is Michigan State (GO GREEN!), and I someday hope to be a mom to a cute little corgi dog!

I'm so excited for my first year of teaching and can't wait to learn from my students as much as they will learn from me!
