Dr. Donna Fiebelkorn

The twin threads of education and development have taken Dr. Donna Fiebelkorn around the world and back to Michigan, working with institutions of higher education and communities in the United States and overseas. She began her career as a high school teacher in Maryland, following graduation from Michigan State University, and completed her master’s in Curriculum and Instruction and doctorate in Education Administration at the University of Vermont (UVM). As a faculty member at UVM, she administered the university’s secondary education programs. Throughout her career, Donna also served in a number of capacities with the Peace Corps, including as a volunteer and a staff member in Nepal, as a training and programming consultant in Sri Lanka, the Caribbean and Kyrgyzstan, and as the coordinator of the Fellows/USA Education Program in Washington, D.C. Following the completion of her contract as associate Peace Corps director for programming and training in Ukraine, Donna returned to the states and was appointed as the Dean of Education and Human Service at Baker College/Muskegon. She moved to Lake Superior State University (LSSU) in 2011, to work with the teacher education program, and recently retired from LSSU as Dean of the College of Education and Liberal Arts.
