    Mrs. Loretta VerHaagh teaches 5th grade at Washington School. Mrs. VerHaagh started working in the Sault schools in 1991.  She has taught at Bruce Township, Sault Middle School, Sault High School, and Washington School.   She earned her Bachelor's degree from Northern Michigan University and her Master's degree from Central Michigan University.

     Mrs. Laurie Robbins and I will be team teaching the 5th grade this year.  I will be teaching all of the Math and Science.  Mrs. Robbins will be teaching Language Arts and Social Studies.

    Through the use of the textbooks, inquiry labs, demonstrations, library, videos, guest speakers, and the Internet, the students will be provided with the tools to understand and explore the state/district standards.

    Expectations:

    Arrive on time and be in your seat when the bell rings.

    Raise your hand and wait to be called upon before speaking.

    Be prepared with planner, book, paper, pencil and assignment.

    Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself.

    Raise your hand for permission to leave your seat.

    Be cooperative and courteous to all people.

    Follow directions the first time they are given.

    Use appropriate language.

    Take care of all school property.

    Hand in all assignments when they are due.

    Use class time wisely when time is given to begin homework.
