Hello!  My name is Ms. Koppin and I am so excited to be teaching at Sault Area High School.  I graduated from Hope College in Holland,
    Holding a raccoon
MI with a Bachelor of Arts in Secondary Education, Spanish and English.  I am originally from Ann Arbor, MI (Go Blue!) but I am enjoying living in the Sault.  I love music and I have played cello for 13 years and ukulele for about 6 years.  My family actually formed a band and has performed in several venues in Southeast Michigan and at a music festival in the Cadillac, MI area.  I have travelled to Mexico and Spain and I lived with a host family in Seville, Spain for four months during college.  I believe that having authentic experiences with different cultures, languages, and people helps students to create meaningful connections between what they are learning and the real world around them.
