Emergency Medical Services

  • Emergency Medical Services will prepare students for the National Registry of EMT exam. Successful completion of the National Registry exam allows students to apply for State of Michigan EMT License. Students will also learn CPR, First Aid, how to use an AED, Bloodborne Pathogens and much more. The EMS Class is taught by Mrs. Kari Evey. Mrs. Evey is a Sault High graduate with the class of 2000. After graduation she joined the Navy and served for 6 years. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Kari moved back north and attended Lake Superior State University. In 2011, she graduated from LSSU with her BS in Biology, Pre-med concentration, and minors in Chemisty and Humanities. After graduation, Kari pursued her dream of EMS, attaining her Advanced Emergency Medical Technician certificate and license. Kari is also an Instructor Coordinator for EMS.
