COMMUNICATION PLAN

The best way to reach me is by e-mail at rmelendez@eupschools.org. I will be available by phone from 10:50-11:40 (planning/office hours). I will also be available for phone calls after school with an appointment. I will respond to messages within one (1) business day.

DELIVERY PLAN

I will use Google Classroom for all materials needed for class/assignments. I have included links in the daily schedule below for your child's Google Classroom. Simply click on the hour for your child and it will redirect you to their specific Google Classroom.

CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS

Students are expected to bring their notebook, planner, and a pencil to class with them each day. In addition, students are expected to come prepared to participate in the daily activities. Some days, students may be completing labs, taking notes, or having class-wide discussions.

This class will follow the school cellphone policy. All cellphones are to be powered off and placed in lockers during the school day. If I see a cellphone, per school policy, I will confiscate it and turn it in to the office.

GRADING

All 6th grade science classes will use the school approved grading scale, listed below.

90 - 100 A

80 - 89 B

70 - 79 C

60 - 69 D

0 - 59 E

Daily Schedule

1st Hour: 8-8:50 am (6th Grade Science)

2nd Hour: 8:55-9:50am (6th Grade Science)

3rd Hour: 9:55-10:45am (6th Grade Science)

4th Hour: 10:50-11:40am (Planning/Office hours)

5th Hour: 11:45-12:10 pm: 12:45 -1:10pm (WIN Time; Split Lunch)

Lunch: 12:10pm- 12:40 pm

6th Hour: 1:15-2:05 pm (6th Grade Science)

7th Hour: 2:10-3 pm (6th Grade Science)
