C.  MICHIGAN HIGH SCHOOL ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION - Superintendent Hall
 
Recommendation:  That the Board of Education approve the resolution for membership in the Michigan High School Athletic Association for Sault Area High School, Malcolm High School, and Sault Area Middle School for August 1, 2019 through July 31, 2020.

D.  MICHIGAN ASSOCIATON OF SCHOOL BOARDS MEMBERSHIP - Superintendent Hall
 
The annual MASB district membership for the 2019-2020 school year is $4,543.
 
Recommendation:  That the Board of Education approve the Michigan Association of School Boards membership and legal trust fund fees for 2019-2020 in the amount of $4,543.

E.  FOOD SERVICE MEAL PRICE INCREASE - Mrs. Michelle Bennin
 
Recommendation:  That the Board of Education approve the recommendaton to increase the price of breakfast by 10 cents and lunch by 10 cents effective July 1, 2019.
 
Proposed 2019-2020 Prices:
Breakfast $2.05            Lunch (elementary) $2.90            Lunch (secondary) $3.15

F.  2020 TAX RATE REQUEST (Form L-4029) - Mrs. Michelle Bennin 
 
Recommendation:  That the Board of Education approve the 2020 Tax Rate Request (Form L-4029) of 18.00 mills on non-homestead property for school operations, and 2.48 mills on all property for school debt.

G.  PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING THE PROPOSED 2019-2020 PRELIMINARY BUDGET -

The Board of Education needs to provide a public hearing on its proposed budget.  Notice of such hearing has been appropriately given as required.

Recommendation:  That the Board of Ecucation award the Middle School Roof Repair Project to Great Lakes Roofing & Insulation Services, Inc. for a project amount of $43,000 as presented.

L.  GIFTS AND DONATIONS
 
1.  Mrs. Virginia Johnson donated a total of 80 trees consisting of red maples and white spruce.
Fifty were given to two of Mr. Plummer's science classes at Lincoln School, 21 were planted on Lincoln School grounds, and 9 were planted between the Middle School and Sault High School.
 
Recommendation:  That the Board of Education accept the above donation with thanks and appreciation.
