The best mode of communication is through email. I will be checking my email daily during school hours. I am also available for phone conversations using mutually agreed upon times and phone numbers.

I will be calling families to schedule individual reading/writing conference times.

Teacher-student conferences will be held using Google Classroom. A link will be provided to access the "Reading with Mrs. Brood" virtual classroom site.

Reading materials will be provided through on-line resources as well as take-home books. Book exchanges will be arranged according to student and situation. 

During conferences, students will engage in reading and writing activities. For reading, we will have conversation together about the book(s), and I will provide instruction and feedback regarding reading strategies and talk about any questions that arise. For writing, instruction will be given when the student is writing during the video meeting; feedback on strategies and any questions will be given.

No other work needs to be submitted to me at this time.
