    DISTINGUISHED ALUMNI HALL OF FAME

    The Distinguished Alumni Award

    Purpose:

    Sault Area Public Schools honors alumni who have transformed their high school experience into distinguished careers and lives of service.

    Criteria:

    Recognition as a distinguished alumnus shall be limited to individuals, living or deceased, who have graduated from Sault Area Public Schools no fewer than 20 years previous to the nomination and have made significant accomplishments/contributions in the following areas, while maintaining high standards in personal integrity and character:

    • Outstanding leadership in his/her field.

    • Service to his/her community through local, state, national or international organizations.

    Nomination Process:

    1. Nominations can be made by any individual.

    2. Nomination packets will be made available mid-February.

    3. Nominations will be retained for three years.

    4. Nominations must be submitted 5 months in advance of the induction ceremony (April 15).

    5. Award winners will be finalized June 1.

    Selection Process:

    1. The nomination Committee will convene on April 15 of each year to review nominations.
