  • Washington Elementary School

Course or Grade

  • First Grade

Communication Plan

  • The best modes of communication is via email, phone, or our classroom Bloomz account. If you are not signed up on Bloomz, please email me so I can add you to our class. I will be available to respond during normal school hours. If email doesn't work for you, I will also be available to schedule phone conferences at agreed upon times.

Delivery Plan

  • Student work packets will be sent home with your child or will be available for pick up at the Washington School office.  Packets will be available for pick up during normal school hours.

Students will continue to do the following at home during quarantine:

    1.  Read books from their Home Reading Book Bag each day.

    2.  Practice reading sight word flashcards.

    3.  Practice reading their weekly poem.

    4.  Write a story each day.

*Daily reading is very important to promote continued growth and help maintain your child's reading level and fluency during this time.

Plan for Submitting Work and Feedback

  • Student work packets must be completed and returned once your child is able to return to school.  We will discuss progress during our weekly communication via email, Bloomz, or phone conference.

Additional Supports and Extra Help

  • Extra supports will be discussed as needed during our weekly communication.  Websites, learning videos, and additional activities may be posted on our Bloomz Group. I will assist in any way that I can, and support staff members (Resource Room, Reading Recovery, Math Intervention) will be making contact as necessary.
