Ms. Umbarger

    About Me:

I am Ms. Umbarger, and I am the Washington School Resource Room Teacher. I am beginning my third year as a teacher at Sault Schools, and I am so happy to be part of an amazing team and building! I graduated in December 2021 with a Bachelor's in Elementary Education and Concentration in Special Education. I have recently returned to school at Northern Michigan University to earn my Master's as a Reading Specialist. As an educator, I hope to share my love of learning with my students. In the classroom, I will teach students to be great learners and successful students. When I am not teaching, I enjoy spending time on the farm with my animals. I am very active and love to run, hunt, and spend time with my family.

    What to expect in class:

In my classroom, we will work on students' IEP goals using a variety of methods and tools during pull-out instruction. My goal for each class is for students to feel confident in their abilities to learn and grow in school. I will provide engaging lessons with content that is related to each student's individual goals.
