• Chartwells K12 Introduces "Ready to Reopen" Plan to Help Schools Feed Kids This Fall

Attention Sault Area Public Schools Families!

We are excited to announce that for the start of the 2020-2021 school ALL students will be able to eat breakfast and lunch for free!

The USDA has approved a waiver to offer free meals to all children under the age of 18. Please see below for important information about how this may affect your student(s):

    - This waiver extends until December 31, 2020 OR until approved funding is exhausted (which could be prior to December 31st).

Free/Reduced lunch applications should still be filled out and returned to the food service department. Applications from the 2019-2020 school year expire in October, if a new application is not received before the waiver expires your student will be charged full price for meals purchased until a new application is received.

    -  Students must take the full meal for their meal to be free. Students will be charged for milk, additional entree portions, bottled water (where offered), and snack bar items. As always though, students can request additional servings of fruits and vegetables with their meals at no cost.
