Wendy Miller

Wendy is in her eleventh year, as Director of School Support, at Grand Valley State University’s Charter School Office.  In addition to her current role she also works for the John & Nancy Kennedy Sound Reading Foundation as a literacy consultant.  Prior to her work in the charter school world Wendy spent 14 years in education as a young 5’s, kindergarten and first grade teacher with her last 4 years as a K-12 Reading Intervention Specialist. She received her BA in Elementary Education, with a reading emphasis, at the University of Iowa. She received her Master’s Degree in Reading, with a reading specialist endorsement, through Grand Valley State University.   Throughout her 25+ years in education literacy has been at the core of her work. She has worked tirelessly throughout the state in a variety of capacities to support teachers, parents, students and various stakeholders.
