I'm very excited about my first year as principal and 9th year as part of the administration team at Sault Area High School and Career Center. I believe every day is a new day and respect goes a long way. I truly try to live my life "above the line" by gaining an understanding of situations rather than forming opinions. I enjoy working with ALL the students and seeing them mature from freshmen to senior year. My enthusiasm and need for collaboration and efficiency guide me daily. My goal is to make this the best place to learn. We have an amazing staff that cares about ALL students and guides them to advocate for themselves to be successful citizens when they graduate. 

This will be my 17th year in education. I am a Sault High graduate. I earned my teaching degree from Central Michigan University in 2005 with a minor in Mathematics and a Business Education major. I earned my Masters Degree in Administration Leadership from Northern Michigan University in 2011. I also earned my Education Specialist from Northern Michigan University in 2021. I have taught mathematics in California, Kinross, and at Malcolm, in the Sault. 

My husband, J.C., was also a Sault High graduate. We are blessed with two energetic boys and a little girl. Devon is 12 and Mason is 10 and they will be attending Sault Area Middle School. Harper is 6 and is the luckiest little girl, her two brothers love her dearly. They spend their day trying to make her laugh.
