• Helpful Teacher of the Month

In an effort to recognize outstanding contributions made by our teaching staff, I would like to present you with the selection of our Helpful Teacher of the Month. This is not a competition among teachers but recognition of the many positive aspects of teaching demonstrated by our staff.
This month it is our pleasure to announce that Julie Henderson is our Helpful Teacher of the Month for November 2003.

Julie Henderson was nominated by her principal Bud Conlin for her dedication and hard work. It is a distinct pleasure to nominate Julie Henderson for consideration as the Ace Hardware Helpful Teacher of the Month. Julie has been a Special Education teacher at McKinley for the last several years, but more than that, she is a positive champion of children. Ms Henderson works well with students, parents, and staff to help each child reach his/her maximum potential. Ever the optimist, this fine woman sees opportunities in problems, and challenges as a means to improve learning for children. Additionally, Ms Henderson creatively finds workable solutions to even the most complex problems. Finally, our Ms Henderson has been a faithful representative to the District Technology Committee, working with students and staff to seamlessly integrate technology into the curriculum. She is truly worthy of the strongest consideration for this award. She will honor us all in donning the red vest. We are very fortunate to have Julie Henderson as a member of our teaching staff.

She will receive a $25 gift certificate from our sponsor, Parkers Ace Hardware, the helpful place.
