• ASSISTANCE FOR STRUGGLING STUDENTS:

    As stated in my syllabus, barring an occasional conflict or meeting, I am available to work with students from 7-8 am and 3 - 3:15 pm Monday through Friday as well as during A.

    If your  student is struggling with content, there are videos posted daily on Google classroom in the classwork tab. 

    While these won't align perfectly with the notes provided, the videos cover the same content and can be quite helpful.

    CLASSROOM PROCEDURES

    Classroom Rules and Expectations

    AT ALL

    TIMES
    • You should come to class with the proper items for learning, such as a pencil, paper any other items necessary.  You should also be attentive during instructional time and give your best effort on all assignments.  Lastly, we are all responsible to make sure that our actions do not distract others in the class from being able to learn.
    • Each student deserves to feel safe expressing his or her thoughts and feelings in the context of our material and the learning process.  Comments or actions unkind to other students will not be tolerated.  
    • I expect that you will treat me, as well as each of your classmates, with the same respect.  Therefore, we will not interrupt when others are speaking, we will not take or use things that belong to other people, and we will be considerate of one another.
    • We will not do anything in our classroom that would be a distraction to the ability of other students to learn and other teachers to teach.  We will also treat the building, the classroom materials, and the other individuals in the building with respect.  

    ENTERING/ BEFORE CLASS
    • Please read the weekly agenda posted at the front of the room, note any deadlines or assessment dates and gather any materials necessary for the day's activities from the front table.
    • Please be seated before the bell rings.

    INDEPENDENT WORK TIME
    • Use any class time provided to work on the assignment given.
    • You may work quietly and productively with others unless otherwise noted. 
    • Please raise your hand or come to my desk if you have a question. I will address questions as they are presented. 

    GROUP WORK TIME
    • Please pay attention to directions and expectations.
    • Stay on task and contribute to the group.

    HOMEWORK
    • Homework is assigned for each section or lesson covered.
    • Once posted, due dates and deadlines are your responsibility. 
    • I will post a weekly agenda on Google classroom similar to the one you will see daily at the beginning of class.
    • Due dates are also posted in the classwork tab of Google classroom and on the assignments on the Savvas geometry platform.
    • If you are absent, the time frame for submitting any missed assignments/assessments is one day for each day you were absent.  If a student has a prearranged absence, the work should be turned in upon their return.

    ENDING CLASS
    • Please return any borrowed items, clean up the area around your desk and remain there until the end of the class period.
    • The class period will end when the bell rings UNLESS I am still teaching/giving directions.  If this is the case, I will dismiss you when I have finished.

    EMERGENCIES
    • Please stay calm and follow the specific procedures we have practiced.
    • If there is a substitute teacher that day, please be helpful.
